How do I get there?

Road:
Hampstead Lane, NW3. There is currently free parking on Hampstead Lane and adjoining side roads. There is an English Heritage car park just off Hampstead Lane, but this is "pay and display".

Train:
Hampstead Heath 1½ miles

Tube:
Archway or Golders Green Tube, then the 210 bus, or Highgate 1 mile walk.

Bus:
